Marketing that Helps the Skin We Live In

Med spas and dermatology practices help us feel good about and protect the health of the skin we live in. Abra Marketing is proud of our long history of helping patients connect to providers who can help them with their skin. As a healthcare marketing agency, our first skin care clients started with us in the mid-2000s.

Helping connect dermatology providers with people they can help became a personal priority around that time and onward:

• Abra was running a car-enthusiast website and found out one of the members was the mother of a son who she lost to melanoma. The Abra team shifted the branding of the website to honor his memory and support the foundation his mother had established in his name. It was incredibly rewarding to support this organization founded on “A Mother’s Promise” to battle melanoma through prevention education.

• In 2018, Abra founder Kurt Hoffmann lost his father to a rare form of skin cancer after a 4-year battle.

Med Spa Marketing Foundation: Consistency & Longevity

One of Abra’s med spa/dermatology clients is Vita Dermatology in Red Bluff, California, a dermatology provider that is part of Dignity Health/Common Spirit. Founded in 1986, Dignity Health is a nonprofit health care organization that operates more than 40 hospitals and 400 care centers.

Vita is one of many clients who exemplify the longevity of Abra’s marketing partnerships. Abra has worked with Vita since 2011.

This longevity is not only a tribute to the value of Abra’s marketing programs but also has proven that consistency and longevity are foundational to marketing success.

A focused med spa marketing program can cost effectively drive new patients especially when implemented consistently over time.

While we have also produced a range of special projects, Vita’s med spa marketing program has been successful based on a relatively simple recipe applied consistently over many years.

Abra Marketing’s marketing program has kept the Vita staff at a capacity for many years:
• Website Development, including designing the Vita med spa website and providing ongoing management
• SEO to constantly make sure Vita is being found for critical search terms. As with most Abra clients, Vita is consistently ranking high in search engines with regular growth as search terms are expanded. Abra also has helped build SEO for neighboring communities, reaching beyond the 14,000 population in Red Bluff to build a patient base of more than 100,000.
• Email campaigns to an ever growing list: Vita’s monthly emails have open rates consistently between 35 and 40%

Med spa marketing does not have to be overly complex. Vita is an example that solid growth can be achieved through a focused program. The secret ingredient is consistency over time.
