Abra loves businesses that make doing good in the world part of their mission.
To support this, Abra produced a video series “Culture of Good” that showcased multiple business and leaders striving to make positive change through their daily work.
Abra donated the website and online marketing to breast cancer awareness non-profit Nor-Cal Think Pink for 20 years. In 2008, members of Think Pink including Abra founder Kurt Hoffmann came up with the idea to light the beautiful Santiago Calatrava Sundial Bridge in pink lights to bring awareness to this great cause. The idea was rejected by the City of Redding. However in 2009, Kurt Hoffmann led a 6-month campaign to finally get approval for this incredible event.
in 2024, Kurt attended the 15th anniversary of this event.

At a client meeting in 2004, a medical imaging client was lamenting the challenges of hand-completed, FAXed patient referral forms that were often incomplete or illegible.
Abra converted the paper form to a custom online form system that dramatically streamlined referrals from providers for X-rays, CTs, MRIs, etc.
OPS, the Online Patient Scheduling system evolved into a sophisticated, intelligent form that captured a wide range of complex if/then data to save time and confusion for referring offices and medical imaging scheduling staff.
The Scheduling Department literally ran on Abra OPS, another example of Abra ingenuity and proactive thinking to leverage marketing tools to support the success of our clients.

In 2012, I (Kurt Hoffmann, Abra Founder) was helping my local martial school where my kids and I took Muay Thai classes with marketing. We started to do a simple video project talking to the head coach Ben Brown and his coaches, who happened to be legends of the sport of Muay Thai kickboxing.
It is common for Abra to start on a project and see an opportunity that no one else sees. As we began our video interviews, it was clear to me there was an incredible story being told. I personally pivoted the project to a short documentary film which I named “Win. Lose. Forgive.”
The film was completed in May 2013 and premiered at 3rd St. Cinema in Santa Rosa, California on Saturday, July 20th, 2013. The film was also featured at the Wine Country Film Festival that year and was an attendee favorite in part due to the demonstration fight between coach Ben Brown, the focus of the story, and world champion kickboxer Rick Cheek.
