In 2009, Abra led a project to light The Sundial Bridge in Northern California pink to raise awareness for breast cancer prevention.
The concept of lighting the Sundial Bridge pink was first developed by Melody Christenson and other members of Think Pink, however, the idea had been rejected in the past for a variety of reasons.
Kurt Hoffmann of Abra Marketing came along and revamped the idea. With the input and support of Nor-Cal Think Pink members, Kurt wrote letters to Turtle Bay Exploration Park and the City of Redding requesting reconsideration of the Pink Sundial Bridge idea as a way to bring attention to Think Pink’s mission of increasing breast cancer awareness.
